GRATEFUL MINDS THERAPY

PSYCHOTHERAPY

ONLINE & IN PERSON

ABOUT ME

My journey in mental health began 25 years ago, shaped by both professional training and personal experience. Like many, I’ve faced moments of self-doubt, uncertainty, and transition. Moving from Brazil to the U.S. was one of those defining moments—it brought incredible opportunities but also challenges that deepened my understanding of resilience and change. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate life’s transitions, overcome obstacles, and build meaningful connections with themselves and others. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical, designed to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered to create lasting change.

MY APPROACH WORKING WITH CLIENTS

Therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself—without judgment or pressure. My goal is to help you navigate challenges with clarity and confidence while building tools that actually work in your daily life.

I take an integrative approach, drawing from different evidence-based methods to fit your unique needs. Together, we might explore how past experiences shape your present (psychodynamic therapy), identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns (cognitive-behavioral therapy), or practice mindfulness techniques to help you feel more grounded and at ease. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor each session to where you are right now—whether you need deep self-exploration, practical strategies, or just a space to process.

I also offer short-term therapy for those navigating major decisions, life transitions, or work-related stress. If you’re using an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) or simply want to see if therapy is the right fit for you, short-term sessions can provide clarity and support without the pressure of long-term commitment. Whether you’re looking for a few sessions to tackle a specific issue or seeking a deeper, ongoing process, I’m here to support you in a way that works best for you.

If you’re ready to take the next step or just want to explore if therapy is right for you, feel free to reach out—I’d love to connect.

SOME THOUGHTS ABOUT THERAPY

The relationships we have with the people we love shape so much of our happiness and resilience in life. When our connections feel strong, we navigate challenges with more ease, and life feels more meaningful. But relationships aren’t always easy—they take effort, self-awareness, and sometimes, healing from past wounds.

A big part of that process starts with the relationship we have with ourselves. How we see ourselves, how we talk to ourselves, and how we process our experiences all influence the way we show up for others. Therapy is a space where we can work on that—where we can slow down, reflect, and understand ourselves better so we can create and maintain the kinds of relationships that bring us peace, joy, and connection.

Sometimes, therapy is about learning how to build new relationships, and other times, it’s about repairing the ones that matter to us. Healing isn’t always straightforward, and while we can’t change other people, we can change how we engage with them—setting healthier boundaries, communicating differently, and showing up in ways that align with our values. Whether you’re working through family dynamics, romantic relationships, friendships, or your relationship with yourself, my goal is to help you navigate these connections with greater clarity, intention, and self-compassion.
